Scientific Mediator at the Palais de la Découverte, Universcience (Paris, France)

After scientific studies in statistical physics, Jacques PETITPRE taught physics in middle and high school. He then joined the Palais de la Découverte in Paris, which he had frequented since his childhood. He works there as a scientific mediator in the physics unit. Part of his work is to give talks on different subjects of physics to a very wide audience in terms of age and level of scientific knowledge. He is responsible for the « Heat and Fluids » room, where we deal with thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.

The Palais is an unparalleled place to share his passion and his ever-renewed wonder for the sciences. He is convinced of the primary importance of making today’s science accessible to as many people as possible in our society shaped by technological advances. In this desire for transmission, we must make openness and integrity, accessibility and rigor exist together.
